There is nothing like the bond between a mother and daughter.
Amina Naveed was started by the designer in the early 2000’s as a small home-based business. Inspired by her childhood in Lahore and the reminiscent visits to Liberty Market with her own mother and sisters, the brand was created to provide a creative outlet for the Karachi based designer. In the wake of the pandemic, the brand became a bonding experience for Amina Naveed and her daughter, Baraka, who brought new insights and creativity to the field. The ethos of the brand will always remain an ode to the beautiful craftsmanship of Pakistan artisans, but is now coupled with what the young woman aspires to be – bold, confident, and above all else, fashionable.
Amina Naveed remains a small business that is committed to providing ethical working conditions and opportunities to the craftsmen so they can support their families. The brand also creates tote bags and face masks from excess material, in order to be sustainable and reduce waste. All proceeds from the bags and facemasks go towards the seamstresses that bring the final product to you.
With love, from Pakistan.
